We request that you do not assume that a result is normal if we do not contact you. The surgery will contact you if there is a significant problem with your results, but please contact us for all results as the GP may have some suggestions or advice to pass onto you.

When the test results will be available

• Blood Tests – allow 7-10 working days unless otherwise advised
• X-Ray – allow 2-3 weeks
• Urine Test – allow 7 working days
• Stool Test – allow 2 weeks
• Biopsy – allow 8 weeks
• Smear Test – a results letter is sent direct to the patient 4-6 weeks after test.
