DNA (Did Not Attend) Policy
In order to maximise the use of appointments available we operate a strict policy for patients who frequently do not attend their appointments. This is to reduce the number of wasted appointments and ensure there are appointments available for those who need it. It is important to cancel your appointments if they are no longer required or you can no longer be available at that time.
You can easily cancel appointments:
- Through the NHS App
- By replying to the text reminder
- Completing a form on our website (please link this to the correct page)
- Via our cancellation line when calling the practice.
If you miss one appointment, we will send you a text message to inform you of the missed appointment and remind you of the ways to cancel in future.
If you miss a second appointment within 3 months, a member of our reception team will contact you to see if any further support for attending appointments is required.
Finally, if you continue to miss appointments and miss 6 or more within a 6 month period, we will send you a letter and remove you as a patient with us and you will have to register elsewhere.
